Had an extremely bad experience eating here. Ordered a £35 steak . When it arrived it looked like it had been flattened with a hammer. It was of good quality. And was hardly worth the price. Our other meal was burnt . Yet both meals were cold to the touch. Considering we had a meal just before Xmas that was very good. I was very disappointed to say the least.

We had a really lovely meal here on Christmas Eve. There was a great atmosphere and the staff were lovely. Service was really quick. I would definitely recommend a visit. We’ll be back!

The food is not good at all, especially for the price. You can't charge 16.95 for 4 pieces of pasta which is chewy and tastes awful (wild mushroom tortellini). The food is below average and needs a lot of work (main courses specifically, starters were okay and sweet potato soup was very yummy). But the service was amazing and so was the ambience just rubbish food. Need a new chef maybe. Vegetarian options: Don't get the wild mushroom tortellini

Perfection. Immaculate country pub, inviting with warm open fire and large bar area. Expansive wine list and champagne by the glass. We had a Sunday roast, it was one of the best we’ve ever had.

I love the atmosphere here! It’s very spacious and tables are set apart well. The food is always fantastic. The garden is stunning. We were served by Tom on our last visit and he is so friendly, helpful and efficient. It’s now my favourite pub!

The atmosphere was good, and the service was exemplary. The food was very tasty, good value for money. I had the fish pie, which was full of fish with a good potato topping. For dessert, I had the Black Forest pudding with a latte - none of which could be faulted. I would recommend this establishment

I made a booking online which was nice and easy. Options were to eat inside or out. We opted for the inside. We were seated straight away after we arrived (you need to go to the bar to get seated). They gave us a menu and checked if we have any allergies (they have separate menu listing ingredients and providing alternatives like GF). I had ramen and my grandma had a smaller version of beef. And we both had waffles. The food was delicious. The place was reasonably busy. It had a great atmosphere. The outside seating area looks nice and it has a cover to protect from rain. It is supposed to have a nice view, unfortunately I didn't get to see it as it got dark by the time we were having our desert. Inside it is huge, plenty of seating areas for dining or if you just fancy a drink. They do accommodate large parties too. It's definitely worth a visit. Stopped off for lunch. Really good food and the friendly service set us up perfectly for our long journey home to Scotland. Our two elderly dogs loved the fuss they received from all the staff. Will definitely return soon.

Had a good lunch here with my daughter. Food was excellent staff very friendly and efficient. Facilities were very clean and tidy. I would recommend this place.

Fantastic pub. Lovely friendly welcoming atmosphere. Great food. We went on a Sunday lunchtime without booking. They were busy but fit us in (there were only 2 of us) . I had the Nut Roast Sunday dinner and the other party had fish and chips. Both were excellent. For dessert he had the sweet waffles which (as I had to try it) we thought were the best waffles ever tasted and I had the mini pudding of sticky toffee pudding and ice cream and coffee. I love it when there is a mini pudding and coffee on offer as they are just big enough to hit the spot without feeling like you have overdone it! Staff were very friendly and efficient, it had a lovely log fire in the centre of the room, cosy but spacious feel with lovely views over the hills and there is also a dog menu! We will definitely be back again!
